In an exciting announcement for sports enthusiasts, Fox Sports has revealed that it will offer a non-authentic live stream for the Super Bowl LI. The game will be streamed on Fox Sports Go.
The stream will be free and viewers will not have to pay for watching the game. Viewers can watch the game, scheduled for Feb. 5, 2017, on FoxSportsGo.com through their Android, iOS, Windows or Amazon devices.
"As part of the buildup to this year's Super Bowl, we're committed to creating the best possible experience for fans by dramatically expanding the ways and places in which they can watch the game," said Eric Shanks, the President, CEO and COO of FOX Sports.
One can also stream the Feb. 5 game on connected devices like Apple TV and Roku. Fox had streamed the Super Bowl XLVIII for free as well.
Even though the Super Bowl has been streamed live many times before, this will be the first time where local advertisements will be integrated into the stream. Fox affiliates from all over the globe have confirmed that they will broadcast local advertisements during the stream.
As reported earlier, Fox has confirmed the use of the new Player's Eye View technology for the Super Bowl LI and it will be interesting to see how the viewer's experience is enhanced.
Super Bowl Live Stream
The live stream of Super Bowl 50 had set world records of online viewership and the streams drew unique views amounting to 3.96 million. The stream had been viewed across many platforms like laptops, desktops, smartphones, tablets and more.
The coverage of this year's big game will include the game's national advertisements along with the local ad spots, as pledged by the affiliates. These were missing in the previous live streams.
Apple users will not be avail to use Siri's live-tune facilities, as it is yet to integrate support for Fox Sports.
