Samsung is in the limelight once again. After announcing results of the Galaxy Note 7 probe, renders of the alleegd Galaxy S8 have leaked online, showcasing its design and some features, notably the "Always on Display."

Samsung's chief Dong-jing Koh has revealed that the Galaxy S8 would not be announced at the upcoming MWC 2017. Nothing has been officially said about the device's launch date, but it is rumored to be announced in March and release in mid-April.

Who Has Done The Deed?

Leaked renders by Twitter user @VenyaGeskin has set the Twitterati abuzz with excitement, as the post shows a Galaxy S8 render with dual-curved display, slightly differing from the Galaxy S7 edge. This has been one of the most accurate renders out of many such leaks online. The leak shows the Galaxy S8 donning a Blue Coral hue.

What Does The Render Suggest?

The phone appears to have very tiny bezels, with the screen having slightly more curved edges to it. The tiny bezels only work to support the volume buttons and the power button. In accordance with earlier rumors, the Home button has been done away with. The fingerprint scanner may be embedded in the display or in the back panel as rumored, which is evidenced by the leaked render.

The bezels on the top and bottom of the phone are very minute and the Samsung logo is not visible on the front side of the phone. This is a departure from the company's designing tactics, as the logo generally appears on the front of the phone. Another strange thing is that the bottom bezel is highly irregular in shape. This is perhaps the only oddity in the leak.

Previous renders have shown the Galaxy S8 sporting a golden color, but this leak shows the phone in Blue Coral. This variant is likely to be released, as the Blue Coral hue was immensely popular with users of the now defunct Galaxy Note 7 and the predecessor Galaxy S7.

Another important feature displayed in the render is the Galaxy S8's "Always on Display" feature. This feature enables the time and battery status to be always displayed on the screen.

Some renders of the screen guards that had leaked last week hinted at many cutouts at the top of the screen, but this latest leak does not feature as many cutouts as shown earlier. The Galaxy S8 is also rumored to have an in-built iris scanner like the Galaxy Note 7.

As with any renders or leaks, readers are advised to take the information with a pinch of salt.
