BlackBerry has cut down the prices of its Passport and Passport Silver Edition smartphones by $120, albeit for a short while. The offer ends in 48 hours and customers from many countries like the U.S. Canada and UK can avail the discount.

This is not the first time BlackBerry has slashed the prices of its smartphones. The company had lowered the prices of the Passport during Black Friday as well in November 2016. Similarly, the company had given a 20 percent discount on the Passport in March 2016.

To rejog your memory, the BlackBerry Passport has a 4.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 1440 pixels. It has multi-touch support of up to 10 fingers and the screen is protected by corning Gorilla Glass 3.

"The BlackBerry® Passport has a large square touch screen that provides an amazing viewing and reading experience, giving you wider vision that unleashes your capabilities. It is designed for a better web browsing, reading, apps, editing and maps experience," says BlackBerry.

The new touch keyboard is strategically placed in a bid to ease typing. Since the keyboard is touch capacitive, it allows many actions like scrolling the web and flicking to type.

The phone comes in two colors - the regular black version and the Silver Edition. Although the specs remain the same, the Silver Edition has a stainless steel body to lend the smartphone a stylish look.

The smartphone has a primary camera of 13MP, with autofocus, OIS and LED flash. The secondary shooter is 2MP.

It runs on BlackBerry OS 10.3 and is upgradable to version 10.3.2. The phone has a Qualcomm MSM8974AA Snapdragon 801 processor powering it and RAM of 3 GB. The native internal storage is 32 GB, which can be expandable up to 256 GB via a microSD card.
