She's Supergirl. She can fight, she can fly, she can ... sing?

Supergirl is having a duet with The Flash, as The CW has confirmed a production of a musical episode featuring a crossover between the shows featuring the two DC characters.

The songwriters of the Oscar-winning La La Land, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, lent their musical talents for the crossover. They have written a song called "Runnin' Home to You" for the upcoming episode.

Pasek and Paul won Academy Awards for La La Land, having written the songs "City of Stars" and "Audition". The movie starred Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling.

The creative duo aren't the only ones contributing. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend star and executive producer Rachel Bloom has collaborated with Robot Chicken's Tom Root to write the song "Superfriends" that will also be featured in the episode.

The musical will be shown in The Flash, in the episode "Duet" that will broadcast on March 21.

Kara Zor-El (aka Supergirl), portrayed by charming Melissa Benoist will sing together with Barry Allen (aka The Flash), portrayed by Grant Gustin.

To appear in the episode is Glee star Darren Criss, who will be the the villainous musical maestro of Gustin's Barry Allen. It should be noted that Gustin himself was a star from Glee who appeared alongside Criss.

Benoist herself first shot to fame because of Glee - she portrayed the role of Marley Rose in the fourth and fifth season of the show.

Completing the cast are John Barrowman, Jeremy Jordan, Jesse L. Martin, Victor Garber, and Carlos Valdes,. To guest-star in a non-singing role are Supergirl's Chris Wood and David Harewood.

This TV song adds to the credits that Pasek and Paul earned from the Oscars. The duo has already made a name for themselves in musical theater, with works such as Dear Evan Hansen and Edges. They have also written songs for NBC's Smash and the Disney Channel's Johnny and the Sprites.

As for Rachel Bloom and Tom Root, the pair has released popular and catchy song numbers onscreen. Bloom starred in the hit comedy Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, winning herself a Golden Globe Best Actress award.

Supergirl is The CW's TV adaptation of DC Comics' series of the same name. Supergirl is the cousin of Superman and one of the last surviving Kryptonians. She was sent to Earth from the planet Krypton by her parents Zor-El and Aura. She was tasked to protect her infant cousin Kal-El (aka Superman). Like her cousin, Kara Zor-El has superpowers.
