Lady Gaga is set to hit the Billboard top 10 with her song "Million Reasons" and the album it comes from, Joanne. The song is set to be the most purchased tune of the week based on digital download sales forecasts after the singer performed it at Super Bowl 51.

Lady Gaga's Big Comeback

Super Bowl 51 will be forever remembered for the amazing comeback by the New England Patriots, who managed to come from behind to tie the Atlanta Falcons and then emerge victorious after sending the game into overtime. An equally incredible comeback, however, can be attributed to Lady Gaga, who performed at the Super Bowl halftime show. After her song "Million Reasons" had stalled on the charts months ago, it is now set to become the most downloaded song of the week and become her first song to hit Billboard's Hot 100 in over three years.

Along with some of her greatest hits such as "Poker Face," "Bad Romance," Born This Way," "Telephone," and "Just Dance," Gaga chose to slow down the show for several minutes as she sat at the piano and sang her emotional ballad "Million Reasons." The song was the only track she performed from her latest album Joanne and proved to finally resonate with audiences after it had initially underperformed on the charts, stalling at number 52.

"Million Reasons" Rockets Up Billboard Chart

Initial reports indicated "Million Reasons" was set for a comeback when it was revealed that over 45,000 downloads were sold on Super Bowl Sunday. That momentum has continued throughout the week following, and industry forecasters now predict digital download sales surpassing 125,000, making it by far the week's best-selling song and propelling it into Billboard's top 10.

Lady Gaga's "Joanne" Album's Big Sales Surge

Lady Gaga's last song to hit the top 10 was "Applause," which hit number 4 in Nov. 2013. Interestingly, Gaga decided not to sing "Applause" or any other songs from Artpop, her last solo studio album prior to Joanne. "Million Reasons" is the second single from Joanne, after "Perfect Illusion," which stalled at number 15, very low for the first single from a brand-new Lady Gaga album.

Prior to the Super Bowl, it had appeared that Joanne would be Gaga's first album not to produce a hit single. It was also thought that Joanne would wind up as the lowest selling album of her career, but the Super Bowl performance has resurrected the collection along with "Million Reasons," with forecasts that Joanne could now record sales of 70,000 album equivalent units for the week, propelling it up the charts from number 66 to the number 2 spot.
