Tech Times reported in August 2016 that the voice of Groot, Vin Diesel, confirmed the Guardians of the Galaxy heroes' presence in Avengers: Infinity War, which is set for a two-part release in 2018 and 2019.

On Feb. 5, Pom Klementieff, who plays Mantis in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, also confirmed her appearance in the epic two-part film.

The two actors' confirmation of their Infinity War appearance had already fueled fan excitement, but Marvel Entertainment's very first sneak peek is practically a feast for comic book and Marvel Cinematic Universe fans.

Day 1 Of Filming  

The video of shooting day 1 included interviews with select cast members, directors Anthony and John Russo, and producer Kevin Feige, as well as various concept arts and significant objects. Hint: infinity stones and infinity gauntlet.

The three-and-a-half minute clip begins with a short narration about the infinity stones before the camera pans over the set of what seems to be a wasteland surrounded by green screen. We can only guess what part of the universe it is supposed to be.

Then Star-Lord Chris Pratt himself reveals that it is the cast's first day of shooting Avengers: Infinity Wars in Pinewood Studios, which is pretty neat since he is actually part of the Guardians of the Galaxy cast.

Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Holland — Iron Man and Spider-Man — stand beside him and share their experience as well.

Somewhere along the video, Feige confirms that the Avengers will meet the Guardians of the Galaxy and a fantastic concept art of Rocket Raccoon back to back with Thor graces the screen (head straight to 2:53 if you can't wait).

Kevin Feige: 'Culmination Of A Series Of Films'

The rest of the video is dominated by an interview with Feige and the Russo brothers as they talk about the culmination of the film or, as Feige says, the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"It really is an unprecedented culmination of a series of films interlinked together," Feige says.

He also confirmed that all the heroes will be facing Thanos and that the film is set up so that the Avengers are not prepared to face such a powerful foe, and what better way to make a team of powerful heroes unprepared than by destroying the very thing that keeps them working as a team.

"Thanos shows us why he is the biggest, the best, the baddest villain that we've ever had and the most frightening villain that the Avengers have ever faced," Feige says.
