LG opened Mobile World Congress 2017 with its latest flagship smartphone, the LG G6. All four major U.S. carriers have announced the handset will see a release on their networks and when you can expect it to go on sale.

LG Launches 5.7-Inch LG G6

Mobile World Congress 2017 has just kicked off and as expected, LG officially showed off the LG G6 to the world. The smartphone was the subject of multiple leaks leading up to the event and the spy shots we recently saw were in fact the real deal.

LG announced that it will begin taking preorders for the LG G6 beginning on March 2 through March 9, and the smartphone will begin shipping on March 10. Unfortunately for U.S. customers, those dates only apply to other regions. While an official U.S. release date wasn't mentioned, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile have all confirmed the LG G6 will be offered in the near future.

LG G6 U.S. Carrier Availability Details

AT&T was the first major U.S. carrier to announce it will offer the LG G6 to its customers. The carrier took to its Twitter page to blast the news, although it only provided a "coming soon" message.

T-Mobile was the next U.S. carrier to announce it would be bringing the LG G6 to its airwaves.

"T-Mobile customers don't need to pop champagne to feel fly like a G6. The Un-carrier today announced LG's new flagship superphone - just unveiled at Mobile World Congress - is headed to T-Mobile this spring. Yeah. That'd be the new LG G6." It also posted an unboxing video of the LG G6, which can be seen below.

Verizon soon followed by posting the news online with a breakdown of the LG G6's specs and features. The carrier didn't provide a concrete release date, only stating, "Coming this spring, Verizon will carry LG's flagship G6 smartphone, unveiled today at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona."

Sprint joined the party and announced on its Twitter page that it would be bringing the LG G6 to its network and, like all of the other carriers, it didn't provide a release date, just a promise that more details would be coming soon.

LG G6 Price

While LG nor any of the major U.S. carriers offered pricing information for the LG G6, the smartphone is widely expected to cost around $600 to $700 at full price. You can bet that all carriers will also offer the LG G6 on installment pricing to allow you to pay off the device over time.
