Anglophiles now have another option for streaming British TV.

BBC Worldwide and ITV announced the launch of its new video-on-demand streaming service called BritBox, which provides U.S. users with access to an expansive library popular British titles across multiple genres.

BritBox features thousands of hours of programming at its launch, with new shows addd to the platform weekly, such as the comedies like The Office starring Ricky Gervais and Gavin & Stacey with James Corden.

The platform allows audiences in the U.S. to stream some of the most popular British TV series 24-hours (or so) after they air across the pond. These titles can be found it in the BritBox "Now" category, and include the dramas Upstairs Downstairs and Brideshead Revisited. Other soaps and series in the "Now" category are EastEnders, Holby City, Casualty, and more to be announced.

Like the other popular streaming services available, BritBox also offers exclusives. These include the dectective dramas Dramas Agatha Christie's Poirot: The Early Cases, Miss Marple, Inspector Morse, Sherlock Holmes, and Cracker, along with the comedies Are You Being Served? and Keeping Up Appearances.

Along with exclusives, BritBox will also having U.S. premieres including New Blood from acclaimed writer Anthony Horowitz, and Tutankhamun from BAFTA award-winning writer Guy Burt.

To help viewers find titles worth streaming, BritBox also features curated playlists to showcase certain actors like Daniel Craig and Emily Bliny early in their careers, while exposing viewers to favorites. These playlists include" "Very British Beginnings," "Best of British Comedy,' "Iconic Detectives" and "Literary Adaptations."

"BBC and ITV are known for a vast array of diverse and award-winning programming that fans in the U.S. love and want to watch," Soumya Sriraman, President of BritBox said in a press release. "Those fans now have a one-of-a-kind SVOD service option that offers a single point of access to an extensive collection of outstanding British programming to discover and enjoy."

BritBox is now available for $6.99 per month after a 7-day free trial—making it affordable to add on along with viewer's Netflix subscriptions.

The service is available on the web, AppleTV, iPhone, iPad, and Android mobile phones and tablets, with Roku and Chromecast compatibility coming "shortly" after launch. 

BritBox will compete against the other streaming service for British content, Acorn TV, which costs $4.99 per month.
