Now fitness lovers can further tap into the power of having a personal trainer in their pockets that provides customized workouts thanks the latest update to Sworkit.

The popular fitness app announced a new feature on Tuesday that provides flexible workout plans that are tailored to each its users.

Called the Sworkit Workout Builder, this first-of-its-kind feature allows users to build the ideal workout plan that best suits them.

"Other apps let you favorite your workouts into a list, but we've taken it a step further," Sworkit CEO Ben Young said in a press release. "With our Workout Builder and Custom List, you can build new workouts, customize existing workouts, or even import workouts made on other programs."

The Workout Builder allows users to create customized fitness plans based on their individual goals, needs and level of experience by filtering workouts by category, difficulty, stance, impact level and focus area.

For example, a user who wants to burn belly fat might create a workout with exercises that includes crunches, squats and burpees. These can be added by searching for the specific exercise and then tapping on the ones they can to add and save to their routine.

Users can select how intense they want their workout to be, and what kind of exercise they want like cardio or yoga.

"We had users coming to our trainers asking for easier exercises, harder exercises, exercises to reduce the impact on their knees, and much more," said Young. "Launching this feature was the next logical step to addressing their needs."

Sworkit's Workout Builder is now available on the app. However, those with the free version of Sworkit will only be able to save one custom workout. Premium subscribers, on the other hand, have unlimited access to this feature.

Sworkit is the fitness app that provides on-demand exercise videos so that users can workout anytime, anywhere. The app launched back in 2014, and has been featured on ABC's Shark Tank and is popular among celebrities like Kate Hudson.

Sworkit is available for iOS, Android and the web for free, or with a monthly subscription for $4.99 and a yearly subscription for $39.99.
