Google revealed that it will push out the much-awaited Android Wear 2.0 update to several more smartwatches in the coming days.
Android Wear 2.0, Google's latest operating system for wearable technology, has encountered quite a few hiccups since it was announced. The Android Wear 2.0 update's rollout was delayed because of bugs, which tested smartwatch owners' patience. Google did not disclose a specific timeline by when the eligible devices would get Android Wear 2.0, adding to owners' anxiety.
However, on Thursday, April 20, a Google Community Manager shared on the Android Wear forum that some more smartwatches have been added to the update list and they will receive Android Wear 2.0 soon.
Android Wear 2.0: Which Watches Will Get The Update?
Seven new smartwatches have joined the queue to receive Android Wear 2.0 by end April or late May. Wearables that will receive the over-the-air update are as follows:

Asus ZenWatch 2
Asus ZenWatch 3
Huawei Watch
Huawei Watch Ladies,
Moto 360 Gen 2
Moto 360 Sport
Smartwatches Not Getting Updated To Android Wear 2.0
Google also specified the names of the wearables which won't be receiving the update due to compatibility issues. Smartwatches which are not compatible with Android Wear 2.0 are as follows:
Samsung Gear Live
Sony Smartwatch 3
LG G Watch
Moto 360 v1 (2014)
Asus ZenWatch v1
Google also mentioned that all the smartwatches that will be introduced in 2017 will come with Android Wear 2.0 out of the box.
"All Android Wear watches announced in 2017 and forward, will receive Android Wear 2.0.," revealed Ernest, the Google Community Manager, in the Android Wear Support Forum.
Android Wear 2.0: the Unexpected Delay
The update was launched globally in February with the promise that it will roll out to eligible smartwatches soon. However, things took an ugly turn for Google as there was no news of the roll out for more than six weeks and owners were getting impatient.
Later, Google confirmed that it had discovered a bug in the software during the final testing phase of Android Wear 2.0. As the company wanted to push out a bug-free update, it delayed the release. It wasn't until the end of March that smartwatch owners — specifically Fossil, Tag Heuer, and Casio — received the update.

Although Android Wear 2.0 roll out had a slow start, it picked up its pace very soon and currently, a number of smartwatches have received the update. If you are a user of one of the following smartwatches, then your wearable should be on Android Wear 2.0,
