Even with Acer's newly unveiled laptops that are much beefier in terms of specs, you shouldn't overlook its more budget-friendly series, Aspire, which just got a much-needed refresh. Along with its new Predator laptops, new 2-in-1 devices, and an All-in-One Aspire desktop are the new Aspire series, named 1, 3, 5, and 7.

Admittedly, the Aspire series won't hold a candle to Acer's much more powerful and flashier lineup, but these machines do win the hearts of customers just looking for a decent and passable laptop for everyday tasks that won't break the bank. To that end, let's take a look at the new Aspire laptops.

Acer Aspire 1 Series

The Aspire 1 series is the cheapest of the bunch, starting at a measly $219. At that price, users get a 14-inch display, an Intel Celeron or Pentium chip, between 32 or 64 GB of internal storage, and 4 GB of RAM packed in. Acer says the Aspire 1 series comes with a year's worth of Office 365 subscription, alongside 1 TB of OneDrive storage.

It offers up to nine hours of battery life, has a single USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI port, and an Ethernet port.

Acer Aspire 3 Series

The Aspire 3 series, meanwhile, starts at a slightly higher price point of $299. Users can choose from a variety of screen options, from a 14-inch HD display to a 15.6-inch HD display to a 15.6-inch Full HD display. Users can similarly choose from a range of processors, which will vary from Intel Core, Pentium, or Celeron chips. They can also pack in as much as 12 GB of memory if so they choose.

Acer Aspire 5 Series

The Aspire 5 series introduces the more steeper-priced laptops of the bunch, which will continue up to the Aspire 7 series. With an Aspire 5 machine, users can opt for a 15.6-inch display with either a 720p or 1080p resolution. There's also an option for an Intel Kaby Lake processor. Depending on your own configuration, you can also equip it with a discrete Nvidia GeForce card.

RAM maxes out at 20 GB, and the hard drive maxes out at 2 TB. But if you opt for an SSD, that can only go as high as 256 GB.

Acer Aspire 7 Series

Finally, there's the top-of-the-line Aspire 7 series, which starts at $799. Needless to say that it's the most powerful of the lineup, packing an Intel Kaby Lake processor and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 GPU. RAM maxes out at 32 GB, storage maxes out at 2 TB if you opt for HDD, and 512 GB if you go for the SSD.

The new Acer Aspire Series lineup hits U.S. shelves in June. For those looking for entry-level notebooks, the Aspire Series 1 and 3 probably offers enough specs you need for a very low price. For those looking for a bit more power, you can look at the Aspire 5 or 7 for that.
