As is the case with highly anticipated smartphones, the online world has been rife with Samsung Galaxy Note 8 rumors and leaks.

That said, here's everything we know so far about the upcoming flagship from the South Korean brand.

Galaxy Note 8 Rumors

The Galaxy Note 8 makes an enemy out of bezels and runs on the latest Android version: A recent rumor says that the Galaxy Note 8 will sport an Infinity Display, just like the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. That doesn't come as a surprise, though. On top of that, it'll run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat from the get-go.

The Galaxy Note 8 will share a lot of screen qualities with the Galaxy S8: Aside from the Infinity Display, the Galaxy Note 8 is said to have the same aspect ratio of 18:5:9 as the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. In other words, it's going to be one tall smartphone.

The Galaxy Note 8 won't be the first Samsung smartphone with dual cameras: While it's not exactly about the Galaxy Note 8, it's still relevant. Put simply, those who want the phablet just because of the possible dual cameras don't have to wait for it to up their smartphone-photography game. They can just go for the Galaxy C10, which is rumored to be the first Galaxy phone with a dual-camera setup.

Galaxy Note 8 Leaks

The Galaxy Note 8 will be massive: In a nine-second video, a tipster showcased the Galaxy Note 8's front glass panel, and if it turns out to be true, then the phablet is going to be huge, measuring at 6.3 inches. That's slightly larger than the 6.2-inch display on the Galaxy S8 Plus.

The Galaxy Note 8 could have something more beneath the screen: An alleged dummy unit of the Galaxy Note 8 made rounds back in May, and the main takeaway — aside from corroborating the Infinity Display and dual cameras — from it is it doesn't seem to have a fingerprint scanner on the back. That opens the possibility of the biometric reader sitting under the display.

Long Story Short

With every piece of info here pointing to an Infinity Display and dual cameras, the Galaxy Note 8's key features are pretty much confirmed. However, these rumors and leaks should still be taken with a grain of salt until the phablet goes official or until Samsung confirms them, which is unlikely but sort of "possible."

The Galaxy S8 is one of the hottest smartphones of 2017, and that's evidenced by the record-breaking preorders Samsung received for it, despite following the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7.

This time around, the Galaxy Note 8 is expected to take the market by storm as well, and considering the possible features in store, that shouldn't be much of a stretch.

Samsung is expected to launch the flagship sometime during the second half of 2017.
