As Samsung Galaxy Note 8 leaks keep piling up, purported cases for the device seem to confirm the design and it's not all good news.

Mobile Fun says it just received official cases for the Galaxy Note 8 and it already put them up for preorder. In an email, Mobile Fun also shared some more details about what to expect from the Galaxy Note 8 once it's ready to hit the market.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Cases Reveal Design

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is among the most highly-anticipated devices of this year and it's expected to pack top-notch specs and features, but its design might disappoint some eager fans. While earlier rumors indicated that Samsung might finally be ready to implement in-display fingerprint authentication with the Galaxy Note 8, more recent leaks suggest that the upcoming flagship will have the same rear-mounted fingerprint scanner as the Galaxy S8 series, oddly placed right next to the rear camera.

Just last week, popular case maker Olixar put Galaxy Note 8 cases up for preorder on Mobile Fun, bolstering claims that the upcoming smartphone will have the fingerprint scanner on the back, next to the camera. The allegedly official Galaxy Note 8 cases Mobile Fun has now posted further confirm this theory, indicating that Samsung still didn't manage to complete the implementation of a fingerprint scanner embedded into the display. On the bright side, they also confirm that the Galaxy Note 8 will sport dual rear cameras.

Prices

Mobile Fun has 21 Galaxy Note 8 cases ranging in price from $21.49 to $94.99. Options include basic leather cases, battery cases, and more. The site notes that it looks like two-piece "Pop Covers" are making a comeback with the Galaxy Note 8, and the device itself will likely come in Deep Blue, Orchid Grey, Black, Gold, and Silver color options. At the same time, Mobile Fun highlights that the higher recommended retail price for these cases indicates that the Galaxy Note 8 will indeed be considerably more expensive than the Galaxy S8, Galaxy Note 7, and any other Galaxy smartphones.

Other recent leaks have indicated the same, claiming that the Galaxy Note 8 will be Samsung's most expensive flagship to date, retailing for as high as $1,000 in the United States.

Samsung has yet to confirm any specs, features or pricing details for the Galaxy Note 7, but the smartphone is expected to make its official debut in August or September. In the meantime, it's best to take all leaks with a grain of salt.
