There probably weren't many people out there that truly believed Rise of the Planet of the Apes was going to be a hit, but the 2011 Rupert Wyatt reboot was not only a critical success, but it was a big box office surprise as well. Three years later and we get the second installment of this new age of Apes movies, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, with Cloverfield and Let Me In director Matt Reeves at the helm. And, like its predecessor, the results are great. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is action-packed, emotionally impactful, and a flat-out great way to spend two hours.
T-Lounge is excited to premiere this exclusive bonus clip from the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes Blu-ray (in stores December 2). The clip features some great behind-the-scenes footage of the making of the film as well as an interview with director Matt Reeves discussing what drew him to actor Jason Clarke for the human role of Malcolm. We even get to hear from Clarke himself at one point, but the real treat here is watching the awesome behind-the-scenes footage. Fans will love it.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is available on Digital HD now. It arrives on Blu-ray & DVD on December 2.
