Bethesda has revealed the release dates for Doom, Fallout 4, and Skyrim VR editions, and the best part is, they're all set to roll out this 2017.

Previously, the company promised to launch VR versions of its three most notable franchises before the end of the year, and from the look of things, it's staying true to its word.

Doom VR Release Date

For starters, Doom VFR is the title that fans should be on the lookout for. It's going to be available starting on Dec. 1 for the PlayStation VR or PSVR and HTC Vive.

On an interesting note, the game's name is a little different among the brood (read: VR vs VFR). Obviously, VR stands for "virtual reality," but what about the "F"? According to Mike Laidlaw of BioWare, it apparently means "friendly."

Now for those who are itching to get their hands on Doom VFR, it's already available for preorder on Steam for $29.99. Sure, it won't get the game to arrive sooner, but hey, at least it'll all be ready to download once it goes live.

Fallout 4 VR Release Date

Among the three, Fallout 4 VR will launch last, and that's on Dec. 12. The thing is, it's landing only on the HTC Vive. That means PS4 owners won't get a chance to take it out for a spin on the console — for now at least.

That said, Bethesda had announced that it intends to bring the VR editions of its games to "as many platforms" as they can, but it seems that things didn't exactly pan out for Fallout 4 VR. However, this could just be a timed-exclusive matter.

Fallout 4 VR is up for preorder on Steam for $59.99.

Skyrim VR Release Date

Skyrim VR will be the first to roll out on Nov. 17. Just like Fallout 4 VR, it's exclusive to one platform, but instead of HTC Vive, it's limited to the PSVR.

For the record, Bethesda showcased the VR editions of Doom, Fallout 4, and Skyrim back in June 2017 during the year's E3 event.

This development comes ahead of QuakeCon 2017, which is usually where Bethesda makes such big announcement. For attendees, the event is scheduled to take place between Aug. 24 and 27 at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center.
