Samsung may or may not have wanted this to happen, but at any rate, it has confirmed the Galaxy X by way of an official support page.

For those who don't know, the device in question is rumored to be a foldable smartphone, and it's not the flip phone kind either.

Galaxy X Confirmed?

The Galaxy X is one of the most talked about Samsung phones around, and that's because it'll allegedly sport a flexible OLED display that'll let users fold it.

Aside from that, details are pretty scarce and up in the air — what kind of processor it'll have under the hood, how much RAM it'll pack in, whether or not it'll have dual cameras, and the list goes on.

However, based on what's turned up so far, it's not a stretch to think that it exists. Couple that with this leak of sorts, and it's more believable than it ever has been.

As spotted by Mobiel Kopen (via Let's Go Digital), an official support page of the Galaxy X has gone live on Samsung's Korean website.

It reads the model number SM-G888N0, and it aligns with the serial that made rounds online when the phone got Bluetooth certified and a certification from the National Radio Research Agency of South Korea.

Presumably, that code refers to the Galaxy X variant that'll roll out in Samsung's home country.

Now the support page doesn't exactly give even the slightest hint of any info regarding the device, but it does indicate that it's in the works.

Other Samsung Phone News

It has only been a couple of months since the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 hit the shelves, but Samsung is already moving toward the next flagship that is the Galaxy S9, which has been confirmed to come in two models.

More than that, the South Korean brand is reportedly going to equip the upcoming phone with the Infinity Display, including the Galaxy A5 (2018). That shouldn't come as much of a surprise considering how the screen technology was warmly received.

Come February 2018, Samsung might also take the wraps off the Galaxy S9 Mini. That's a big emphasis on "might," though, as it's based only on a rumor.

To sum things up, the company will keep going strong with a flurry of devices, from smart clamshells and mini versions to foldable smartphones such as the highly anticipated Galaxy X.
