Destiny 2 developer Bungie has shared some details about the next major update for the popular first-person shooter. The game's director, Luke Smith, said on Twitter that on the systems side of the update, due December, players should expect economy, investment, gameplay updates, "and more."

"Next week the Destiny 2 team will detail the systems side of the December update," tweeted Smith. Bungie is set to discuss everything from "economy updates (vendors and acquiring their gear, tokens, legendary shards)" to "investment updates (new reward systems for weapons and armor)."

Players will get more details by the time Destiny 2's big update comes out this week. Furthermore, Bungie project lead Mark Noseworthy and Smith also plan to hold a Q and A session with fans as a way to respond to some of the feedback Bungie has received since the game launched.

Players recently discovered an XP Glitch in Destiny 2 where XP scales up during long or fixed duration activities such as Raids or Crucible matches and scales down when playing shorter activities such as Public Events. Bungie has since acknowledged this issue and announced that it'll fix the XP system.

Make sure to check back Tech Times for coverage as more details, both regarding the December update and the XP system change, become available.

Destiny 2: Curse Of Osiris

The Curse of Osiris update for Destiny 2 is scheduled to launch this Dec. 5 across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions. The expansion is apparently set on Mercury and will come with new story elements and quests as well. In addition, the level cap will be raised, more weapons will be added, and new maps are headed for Crucible.

Besides the expansion, Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 owners are also set to receive enhancements on the same day, which will patch the game to deliver "stunning gameplay with high dynamic range lighting." PS4 Pro players will get "adaptive 4K resolution," while Xbox One X folks will get regular 4K.

Destiny 2

Destiny 2 is an online-only multiplayer first-person shooter released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in September and then for PC a month later. It is the official sequel to 2014's Destiny, which was set in a science fiction world. In the sequel, players assume the role of a Guardian, the protector of the last safe city on Earth. Upon release, the game received positive reviews, with majority of critics saying it's a major improvement over its predecessor.
