As PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds continues to surge in popularity, notable PUBG personality Guy Beahm, widely known as DrDisRespect admitted that infidelity prompted his hiatus from Twitch.

Just last week, the streamer reportedly received the Trending Gamer at The Game Awards 2017. It comes as a surprise for everyone since Beahm apparently has over 1.4 million followers on the game streaming platform.

Additionally, his decision to stop streaming until further notice will likewise affect his sponsors, which include GFUEL, Asus Republic of Gamers, Need for Seat, Turtle Beach, and RAZER.

A Public Apology For His Actions

DrDisRespect's Twitch channel is currently listed by SocialBlade as one of the top 100 popular channels and currently ranks 16th as of this writing. Unfortunately, the PUBG player noted that he is taking the time off to work on his relationship with his family.

"I have a beautiful family, and a wife, and kid. I want to be transparent that I've been unfaithful," Beahm said as quoted by PC Gamer.

He followed with an apology directed to his sponsors, Twitch, and his fans.

Tournament Replacement To Be Decided

Game Rant likewise pointed out that his absence will most likely affect the streaming service, given his popularity and viewership numbers. Along with the previously mentioned sponsors, a recent update reveals that Netease, a Chinese company and gaming event host, confirmed Beahm's withdrawal from the Rules of Survival "Hunt the Streamer" event next week was mutual.

His spot will be given to another popular streamer, which is to be announced soon. The contest will allow players to clash against notable streamers with a reported $30,000 prize.

Reactions Are A Mixed Bag

News of the Twitch streamer's infidelity and decision to suspend future PUBG activities have prompted mixed reactions from his fans. Some have encouraged and supported his resolution to take the time off to work on his family. On the other hand, there are others who felt that he got what he deserved after being unfaithful.

Together with the unexpected surge of popularity of PUBG, DrDisRespect gained a following due to his entertaining personality. Twitch viewers apparently associate his excessive macho behavior to that of a WWE star.

His antics found its place among viewers as it prompted the gaming press together with the public to vote and win him an award last week. It is currently unknown how long Beahm plans to stay away from the public eye.
