Apple has solved the iPhone X supply shortage much earlier than initially thought, with next-day delivery for online purchases and same-day pickup in physical Apple Stores now available.

The iPhone X adoption rate has actually overtaken that of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, and with wider availability, the gap between Apple's current iPhone models will likely grow bigger over the next few weeks.

iPhone X Availability: Next Day For Deliveries, Same Day For Pickups

According to the official Apple website, all the combinations of the iPhone X, namely its 64 GB and 256 GB storage options and Silver and Space Gray colors, are now available for next-day delivery and same-day pickup in most stores.

All the iPhone X models display the same availability across all four major carriers in the United States, as well as the SIM-free option.

It appears that the improved iPhone X stocks is not only in the United States, as next-day delivery is now also available in the United Kingdom. In other countries, shipping times are short enough that customers may expect iPhone X purchases before Christmas.

Customers who were turned off from buying the iPhone X when it was launched in November due to the limited supply should have no troubles purchasing Apple's premium smartphone now, just in time for the holidays.

Apple Catches Up With iPhone X Demand

The much-improved iPhone X availability shows that Apple has caught up with the demand for the popular smartphone, and the company did it much earlier than expected.

Famed Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities estimated in September that the iPhone X supply problem might stretch into the first half of 2018. The prediction was later rolled back by Kuo, when he said a month after that Apple will likely solve the iPhone X production issues causing the supply crunch by the first quarter of next year.

Another report from Nikkei Asian Review in October claimed that the initial iPhone X shipment was only expected to total about 20 million units, half of what Apple was planning to release in 2017. This is probably why it was so hard to buy the iPhone X when it was launched.

Apple, however, quickly turned things around. Last week, the iPhone X shipping time dropped to only three to five business days on average, with in-store pickup availability also improved. Now, with next-day delivery and same-day pickup, the iPhone X looks poised to take over the holidays.
