The Steam Winter Sale will run until Jan. 4 next year, confirming the leak from October that was also right in the dates for the Steam Halloween Sale and the Steam Autumn Sale.

Steam Winter Sale 2017: More Than Just Software
While the games will be the focus, the Steam Winter Sale also includes discounts beyond software. One of the biggest deals on the hardware side is Valve's Steam Link, which will allow you to play Steam games on any TV. Also up for sale is the Steam Controller at a 33 percent discount to take the price down to $33.49, but there is also a Steam Controller and Link bundle at a 65 percent discount for only $34.63.
The Steam Winter Sale has also kicked off voting for the second annual Steam Awards. The voting, which will also last until Jan. 4 next year, will allow players to vote for one out of five games that are vying for some unique awards. The current award up for voting is the Choices Matter award, and in the running are The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Dishonored 2, Divinity: Original Sin 2, The Walking Dead: A New Frontier, and Life is Strange: Before the Storm.
Other awards that will be handed out in the upcoming Steam Awards are named Mom's Spaghetti, The World Is Grim Enough Let's Just All Get Along, Cry Havoc And Let Slip The Dogs Of War, and Whoooaaaaaaa, Dude! 2.0.
