Tidal is getting into the holiday spirit and has decided to give some gifts to the people. The music streaming platform announced Friday Dec. 22 that it would offer a 12-day free trial to anyone beginning Christmas day.

The free trial will cover Tidal's $19.99 High Fidelity tier monthly plan, which includes lossless sound quality. The best part is that users don't need a credit card to get started so this trial is absolutely free.

What's Included

Along with the streaming service's massive music library, the limited-time offer will allow new users to experience Tidal's original programming.

Each day of the 12-day trial will feature a release of original content including playlist, series premieres, music videos, documentaries and much more. Included in the original content is a documentary titled Where Flowers Bloom that follows the making of Rapsody's Grammy nominated album, Laila's Wisdom.

Users will also see the series premiere of Rough Draft, The Group Chat Podcast, Fresh Cuts and a Snoh Aalegra tour documentary. But that's not all, there will be a few playlist, which commemorate 2017, a New Year's Eve playlist and a welcoming the new year playlist titled, Welcome 2018.

Tidal is pulling all the stops to increase its user base in 2018 and this promotion is just another tactic the company is trying out. In the past the music streaming service has released a number of updates to its services to improve the user experience including adding Sonos controls, releasing TV apps on Apple TV and Android TV and supporting Apple CarPlay.

How To Get Tidal

The 12-day trial will be valid in all 52 countries where Tidal is currently available. During the trial users will be able to access Tidal content through their smartphones and tablets via the Tidal app, as well as on their PCs.

The app is currently available on iOS and Android as a free download.
