If you've been trying to get your hands on Google's very popular Nexus 6 phablet, U.S. Cellular is now offering the Quad HD equipped and Android 5.0 Lollipop running handset for $199 with a new 2-year contract.

2014 has been the year that phablets are no longer only used by passionate smartphone fans and tech geeks. Samsung really envisioned the idea of people carrying around a small-tablet sized smartphone instead of two separate devices when it launched the original 5.3-inch Galaxy Note at IFA Berlin in 2011. Tech pundits were not encouraging and claimed the size of the display would be too large for consumers to ever consider carrying.

Samsung is already on its fourth-generation Galaxy Note phablet with the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge, which features a curved display that runs down the right hand side of the phablet's display, allowing users to have access to shortcuts, apps, music controls, notifications and more viewed in a second screen.

Apple's foray into the phablet game was met with huge success and the company is still having trouble meeting demand for its extremely popular 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus with Retina HD 1080P Full HD display. Apple was soon joined by Google and its first Android based phablet, the Nexus 6, which is manufactured by Motorola and sold unlocked on Google's Play Store (with it being completely sold out in all variants. If you're looking to guarantee that you will soon have a Nexus 6 in your hand, U.S. Cellular has announced that it is now selling the Motorola built and Google flagship phablet.

The carrier highlights the 5.9-inch Google Nexus 6's specs and features and reminds you why this is Google's 2014 flagship smartphone. The device runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box and was completely designed to showcase latest and greatest version of Android 5.0 Lollipop on the best hardware and customizations as possible and the Neuxs 6 offers a very high-end Quad HD display that provides an excellent and comfortable look it the handset's 2560 x 1440 display.
