It has been quite a busy month for Square Enix, as the gaming company has released another open beta for PlayStation 4 gamers.

The company has revealed that the PS4-exclusive title Dissidia Final Fantasy NT’s open beta has arrived. The fighting game's beta comes just after Square Enix released the Dragon Ball FighterZ beta over the weekend.

The open beta began on Jan. 12 and will run until Jan. 21, which gives players a little over a week to try out the new Final Fantasy fighter. However, unlike the beta that released in August 2017, this beta will be open to all PS4 gamers. That even includes gamers who do not have a PlayStation Plus account. Gamers will need the PS Plus subscription to play online after the game launches.

The beta is currently available to download on the PlayStation Store. It is a large download coming in at 18 GB. There is no sign up or anything that gamers will need to do to play the game except for going to the PlayStation Store and downloading the beta. Again, there is no need for a PS Plus subscription, so any gamer can play.

What To Expect In The Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Beta

The Final Fantasy fighting game stars characters from the Square Enix franchise series and puts three characters against another three. When it launches, the game will have 28 playable characters and will also get six others to arrive after release in a DLC.

Square Enix has yet to reveal the six fighters, but they’ll be included in Dissidia Final Fantasy NT’s season pass. This will be given to players that purchase the game’s digital deluxe or ultimate collector’s editions.

Although the six players aren’t known, the roster for the title has been revealed. Reports say that the game will feature 15 different characters for battle on the demo. Check out the characters below:

  • Warrior of Light
  • Garland
  • Lightning
  • Tidus
  • Kain Highwind
  • Cloud of Darkness
  • Sephiroth
  • Exdeath
  • Kuja
  • Kefka Palazzo
  • Ultimecia
  • Ace
  • Shantotto
  • Bartz Klauser
  • Vaan

These characters will change out once again on Jan. 18 for a final set of characters before the beta ends on Jan. 21.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will launch on the PS4 on Jan. 30. Ahead of its release, gamers will be able to snag the game's first DLC.

Meanwhile, players who buy specially marked package of Nissin Cup Noodles may be able to grab a code for the Royal Raiment DLC. The downloadable content will bring the outfit for Final Fantasy XV character Noctis. Unfortunately, not all players will have access to this promo, as it is currently only available to U.S. residents.
