The 2018 Winter Olympics is right around the corner, so Amazon is updating all of its Alexa-enabled devices to provide the latest updates on all of the Olympic games.

Alexa's latest update provides sports enthusiasts with all of the news on the 2018 Winter Olympics including the exact time for each sporting event, real-time results for player and team results, and the total amount of medals per athlete.

Alexa Features Are Getting Smarter

"The Alexa service is constantly getting smarter, both for features and for natural language understanding and accuracy. Alexa is designed to make customer's lives easier by letting you voice-control your world," said a spokesperson for Amazon.

Amazon Echo owners can shout "Alexa, what Olympic events are on today?" or "Alexa, when is curling?" in addition to "Alexa, who won the women's hockey game?" and "Alexa, who won gold today?" are some of the voice commands people can use to enable Winter Olympic results.

The 2018 Winter Olympics live stream will be available to those who are subscribed to DIRECTV NOW, Hulu with Live TV, PlayStation Vue, and Sling TV via the NBC Universal channels.

The spokesperson for Amazon adds that sports fans can also control the Playstation Vue app on Fire TV via Alexa, so if they have an Echo device, a Fire TV, and have the PlayStation Vue app on their mobile device, they can say "Alexa, play NBC" or "Alexa, Play the Olympics" to stream Olympics content.

Those who are looking to host a 2018 Winter Olympics viewing at their home can prepare for their party by asking Alexa for help. Users can ask Alexa to order their favorite food or alcoholic beverages off Amazon in addition to creating shopping to-do lists, and set cooking timers.

This isn't the first major sporting event Alexa-enabled devices will support this year. Amazon has plans to add another update to other upcoming events like March Madness, MLB, said a spokesperson from Amazon.
