Fans can now buy the Fortnite Battle Royale Starter Pack that provides better value than the current in-game offerings but for one time only.

Fortnite is a free-to-play mobile game, but players can spend money on it to enhance the gaming experience. Players typically throw real money at the game for more V-Bucks, the game's currency that can buy cosmetic items and card packs containing Heroes, weapons, and more.

Fortnite Battle Royale Starter Pack Includes V-Bucks

The cheapest bundle costs $10 for 1,000 V-Bucks. The Fortnite Starter Pack costs $5 and contains 600 V-Bucks. That in itself already makes the new pack a good deal, but it comes with more inclusions.

As a Starter Pack, though, players can only buy it once, so it's not really a good source of V-Bucks. The best deal on the in-game currency is usually a bigger bundle, which offers more per dollar.

Starter Pack Contains More Bonus Items

The Starter Pack also includes two items: the Rogue Agent skin with the matching Catalyst back bling. Players should note that these are purely cosmetic, so they don't affect the gameplay, except that they make the character look extra fine.

Rogue Agent is an all-black outfit that doesn't look much different than the original one that players start with. Both have the same body armor, details on the legs, and the same scarf. There is, however, additional armor around the arms and a helmet with a gold visor that remains closed.

The Catalyst is a simple backpack that does nothing but to complete the look. It's filed under back bling, a new category of cosmetics that was just added.

The pack is supposed to give new players a head start. The outfit can add flair to the users' first hours of the game and players can put the V-Bucks toward the Battle Pass. The Battle Pass costs 950 V-Bucks, though, so newcomers still have to purchase a bundle or earn it by logging in every day and completing quests.

Fortnite players who have some extra bucks to spend are welcome to purchase the pack as well.

The Fortnite Starter Pack is available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It's also available on the iOS version of the game but remains as invite-only. Epic Games already sent the first wave of invites on March 16.

"We will be sending more in the coming days and weeks, so if you don't get one right away, don't worry," said Epic.

Interested gamers with iOS 11 and up on the iPhone 6s or SE can still sign up on Fortnite's website.
