iFans looking to pocket the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus this holiday season are in luck as the latest smartphones from Apple now ship in a single business day.

Customers who place an order for the iPhone 6 Plus or the iPhone 6 on Apple's online store will be able to snag some models of the smartphone in one business day.

Last month, Apple had improved the shipping times for the smartphones as well, reducing to just three to five business days for some models.

The one business day promise on some models of the iPhone means that customers will get the device in time for Christmas (provided you order now). Some of the models which ship in a single day are as follows:

iPhone 6 Plus - 16GB model

iPhone 6 Plus - 64GB model

The one-day shipment availability is valid on most carriers for the above-mentioned models. For those hankering for the iPhone 6, the 16GB and 64GB models will ship within one to three business days.

However, for those eyeing the 128GB iPhone 6, be prepared to wait for five to seven business days, on all three carriers i.e. Sprint, AT&T and Verizon. If iPhone 6 Plus (128GB model) is what you're looking for, then the wait is three to five business days, depending on the carrier.

With sales of over 10 million units of iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6 in the opening weekend itself, Apple seems poised to better its holiday quarter sales. In 2013, Apple managed to sell nearly 51 million iPhones in the holiday quarter alone.

According to Katy Huberty, analyst from Morgan Stanley, the demand for the iPhone is phenomenal.

"Apple has said they plan to increase iPhone channel inventory from a target range of 4-6 weeks to 5-7 weeks, and that the company was below the 4-6 week range entering the December quarter," wrote Huberty in the investors note. "We estimate a two-week channel inventory replenish could add about 7M units on top of end demand."

Per the company's AlphaWise Smartphone Tracker, that assesses sell-through data for mobile phones, Apple is estimated to sell close to 67 million iPhones in the December quarter alone, generating a whopping $42.3 billion in sales.
