Death Stranding, the new project by infamous video game designer Hideo Kojima, rolled out its E3 2018 trailer, confusing everyone even more on what the game will be all about.

The Death Stranding E3 2018 trailer provides a bit more information about the PlayStation 4 exclusive, but actually raises more questions than answers. Nobody knows what is going in Death Stranding, but that has not stopped gamers from already loving it.

'Death Stranding' E3 2018 Trailer: WTF?

Hideo Kojima made a surprise appearance at E3 2016, when he revealed Death Stranding as the first project of the independent studio Kojima Productions, through a trailer featuring The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus. The announcement was followed by a trailer at The Game Awards 2017 that made Death Stranding one of the most highly anticipated video games of 2018.

Gamers, however, still have no idea on what is Death Stranding all about. Interested players may have been hoping to find out more about the new Kojima game at the PlayStation 4 E3 2018 showcase, but while there was a new trailer, it was so weird and confusing as heck.

The Death Stranding E3 2018 trailer started where the previous one left off, with Reedus's fetus. Amid breathtaking environment shots, the trailer revealed that Reedus' character is named Sam Bridges, who is some sort of deliveryman "carrying the stranded remnants of the future." Other scenes in the trailer include an invisible creature making handprints on the ground, Sam using his fetus as a makeshift flashlight, and the character played by Lea Seydoux enjoying what looked like a flesh-colored caterpillar as a meal.

Does any of that make sense? Of course not.

Mads Mikkelsen and Lindsay Wagner, who appears at the very end of the E3 2018 trailer, also star in Death Stranding.

Gamers Still Love 'Death Stranding'

The Death Stranding E3 2018 trailer was very weird and confusing, which was appropriate for a likewise weird and confusing game.

Players, however, apparently could not get enough of Death Stranding, even if they do not understand what is going on.

There is no Death Stranding release date yet, though rumors have said that Kojima is planning to launch the game before the start of the 2020 Olympics.
