On the heels of Verizon announcing that customers will get six months of Apple Music free of charge, T-Mobile is now telling everyone that it has a much better perk: a year's worth of Pandora Plus, also at no extra cost.

The carrier has confirmed that its customers will get access to Pandora Plus, the paid version of the music streaming service, for a full year. Additionally, T-Mobile has also struck a deal with Live Nation to offer reserved seats at sold-out shows, plus discounted tickets to outdoor amphitheater shows, among other perks.

T-Mobile Announced New Pandora Plus Deal: Free Music For A Year

The deal goes live via the T-Mobile Tuesdays app on Aug. 28. Pandora Plus costs $4.99 per month, so the offer represents nearly $60 in savings. Customers will get Pandora's personalized radio service without ads clogging up their listening experience. They will also be able to skip as many tracks as they want and download tracks for offline listening — features not available to customers on Pandora's free, ad-supported tier.

Virtually all carriers offer some kind of music-related perks as a bonus these days. Take Sprint, for example, which throws in a Tidal subscription as part of the upper tier of its service. There's also AT&T, which lets customers choose between Pandora Premium and Amazon Music as a free add-on if they subscribe to the upper tier of its unlimited plan.

"Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery," said an AT&T spokesperson in reference to T-Mobile's new offering, as CNET reports.

Just like Verizon saying its six-month Apple Music perk is just the first of many to come, Pandora also claims that the deal is just the first step in its partnership with T-Mobile.

"This is just the first step in a larger strategic partnership between T-Mobile and Pandora," said Roger Lynch, CEO of Pandora. "Expect to hear more."

T-Mobile Concert Perks

In addition to reserved seating, free fast lane access, special concession booths, and a bunch of other concert perks, T-Mobile customers will also be able to nab tickets to shows from artists including Wiz Khalifa and Rae Sremmurd, Lady Antebellum and Darius Rucker, Niall Horan, Charlie Puth, and many others for just $25 each, all fees included. Tickets can be bought via the T-Mobile Tuesdays app every Tuesday between Aug. 21 and Sept. 11.
