Chinese mobile maker Xiaomi has outdone itself again as it unveiled the Pocophone F1, which boasts flagship specs and features.

Jai Mani, product head of Pocophone, said that constant clamor for a Snapdragon 845 phone with big battery features made them decide to come up with the POCO F1. The phone's final price will differ in every region, but in India, the F1 is priced at 20,999 Indian rupees or about $300. On the other hand, the 6/128 GB version costs $345, while the 8/256 GB edition is worth $415.

"I see this in your comments section, and definitely on r/Android. People are like 'Hey, I just want a manufacturer to make a [Snapdragon] 845 phone with a big battery, and I don't need glass.' And someone else will come back with 'Hey, we're nerds. No manufacturer will ever make a phone just for us because we're too small a market,' and to an extent that's true," Mani said.

POCO F1 will also come with a distinct version of MIUI 10 that can be integrated with Android components such as the app drawer, default app icons, and full-screen gestures. The POCO F1 will make its debut in Hong Kong, France, and Indonesia on Aug. 27. Mani reiterated that the company will consider bringing their next product to the United States if they receive a favorable response.

"I think if we get a really good response, then for the next device we definitely look at [the US] a lot more strongly," Mani added.
