Destiny 2's Forsaken expansion is almost hitting stores. To celebrate this, Bungie is giving players a free Gambit Mode trial.

Players can get a taste of the new game mode, which is described as a fusion of player vs. environment and player vs. player before the highly anticipated expansion goes live on Sept. 4. The trial will be available from Sept. 1 to 2 on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

Gambit Mode

Although some fans have been given the chance to try the mode during the Gamescom and E3, the free Gambit trial mode will only be available to fans for 24 hours. This is also a great way to tease the game's fans on what's in store for them.

"A 4v4 hybrid mode that merges PvE and PvP experiences into an epic battle. It's a new way to play Destiny 2, offering something for all players to enjoy, appealing to those who thrive on the competition and unpredictable elements of PvP gameplay, while seamlessly blending the collaborative and cooperative elements of PvE," the video game developer described the Gambit mode.

Gambit mode's PvE enables players from teams to teleport to enemy zones to cause bloodshed. It is said to be one of the most awaited features of Destiny 2: Forsaken.

'Destiny 2' Controversy

Bungie has significantly changed many aspects of the game that made its loyal players feel frustrated. The game notably garnered heat after it had been bombarded with player protests. However, its game developer has made an attempt to address their complaints with Destiny 2 update 1.1.4, also known as Go Fast update.

Forsaken is the company's chance to correct the changes that did not meet players' expectations, and the Gambit mode is considered as a great addition to the game.

Bungie notably told Comic Book not to compare it with the characteristics of Destiny 2 because it is entirely different.

The fast-paced vibe of Gambit mode fits like a perfect puzzle piece into Destiny 2's universe. According to reviews, the Gambit mode still embodies a great fusion of what players are yearning for since it was launched. The mode attracts both PvP and PvE fans while retaining the intense vibe of the game.

Fans of Destiny 2 who have been attached to other games in the past months are recommended to try the Gambit mode because it is doing wonders in strengthening the game. As avid players know, September is a busy time for video games. However, Forsaken might just win back its players.
