Jennifer Lawrence is having a great time where her career is concerned. The actress has been cast in a number of hit films, including the Hunger Games trilogy and the recent X-Men movie. The number of hit films the actress appeared in this year, allowed her to become the highest paid actress for 2014.

According to a report from Forbes, movies released with Jennifer Lawrence in 2014 made over $1.4 billion in a combined effort. This allowed her to become the highest earner for the year, and we are certain she'll be in for the runnings come 2015.

The biggest earners for Lawrence in 2014, is X-Men: Days of Future Past, which managed to draw in over $233 million domestically, and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 managed to earn $306 million. With just a few days left in the year, we expect third Hunger Games film to climb since it is still being aired in some theaters worldwide.

In second position behind Jennifer Lawrence, is the Star Lord himself, Chris Pratt. His biggest film of the year is Guardians of the Galaxy, which managed to earn over $333 million at the domestic box office. He'd be closer to Lawrence if the new Jurassic Park movie had finished in time for a late 2014 release. He also starred in the Lego Movie, a film that brought in $468 million at the box office, and could have gone on to earn more.

Third spot goes to the beautiful and talented, Scarlett Johansson. The success of this actress came in the form of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Lucy, and Under the Skin.

Unfortunately for Johansson, it doesn't appear as if Marvel will be doing a stand-alone Black Widow movie anytime soon, or ever. Many fans were angry due to Marvel choosing to focus on another female character, Mrs. Marvel instead of the Black Window character.

Each of these actors are expected to have a great time at the box office in 2015, but only one is capable of coming out on top by the end of the year. If we should bet, we'd go for Jennifer Lawrence because the final chapter in The Hunger Games franchise will no doubt crash the box office.
