Jenni "JWoww" Farley just filed a divorce from her husband Roger Mathews on Sept. 12 in Ocean County, New Jersey.
The reality star from the Jersey Show cited irreconcilable differences for the divorce's reason. Farley also said that their marriage had not been doing well for the last six months before she decided to file for the divorce.
End of JWoww Farley's Marriage
The two were married for three years. They walked down the aisle on Oct. 15 after five years of being together in front of family and friends, which included celebrities Trista and Ryan Sutter from Bachelorette as well as Snooki Polizzi and Pauly D from Jersey Shore.
They started seeing each other eight years ago after they had met in Seaside Heights, New Jersey while Farley was shooting for the third season of her hit reality show. The former couple became engaged in Sept 2012while on the set of Jersey Shore spin-off Snooki & JWoww.
Currently, Farley is one of the stars of Jersey Shore Family Vacation. Mathews has even appeared on the show.
Furthermore, Farley requested for custody of their two kids, 2-year-old Greyson Valor and 4-year-old Meilani Alexandra. Aside from the custodial agreement, Farley also requested health insurance, health care funds, and child support. In case of death, she asked for a life insurance policy on each of their children and that she will be listed as the both the kid's trustee.
"Sometimes we must find ourselves within ourselves. Finding yourself doesn't mean you're a bad person," Mathews posted on Instagram a couple of days after his wife initiated the divorce.
"Takes a lot of vulnerability and being able to accept shortcomings and that you were wrong even if your heart was in the right place. I still like me, just need to be a better me cause it ain't just about me. Time. It's the one thing we can't get back."
Being A Mother Is A Privilege
Additionally, the 32-year-old star opened up about motherhood recently. Notably, she shared about her son's speech troubles in her new show.
She said that being a mother of her children was an honor and a privilege. She also mentioned that she considers her two children her world and the reason her heart beats.
She also stated that when the time comes, she just wishes to look back and know that she gave her children unconditional love, a string of happy moments, security, and characteristics that will help them prosper as successful and beautiful people, inside and out.
