Many players subscribed to EA Access or pre-ordered Anthem to get access to the game's VIP demo, but they were dismayed when it went live last weekend because of several technical woes.

Bioware, however, was quick to appease its unhappy customers with delightful gifts to make up for all the troubles.

Free Skin And 4 Javelins Unlocked

The game demo was plagued with technical glitches such as endless loading screens, latency hiccups, and server downtime that irritated the fans. As an apology, Chad Robertson, head of Live Service at BioWare, confirmed on the official Anthem page that VIP demo players will get a second, free Vinyl skin for their Javelin in the full game on top of the sexy blue Vinyl, which early adopters knew they will receive as a thank you present.

"Overall, we remain humbled by the response from players and appreciate the support from the community. One of my favorite experiences from the weekend was checking out all your fantastic screenshots, video clips, streams, and other amazing content - and that's in addition to all your direct feedback," Robertson stated. "Thank you."

He mentioned that it was unbelievable to see almost 9 million hours of play, more than 1 million strongholds completed, and around 2 million grabbits killed in the entire course of the demo that lasted for 2.5 days.

In addition, all four Javelin classes in the demo are now unlocked to VIP players. Previously, they had to earn each class in the game through personal progression except for the Ranger. Those who had not been able to get their hands on other Javelins before the demo ended should not fret, though. They will again be available in the open demo this coming weekend.
