Most users tend to overlook Gmail's right-click menu, as it has very limited options. However, Google is finally upgrading this function.

The Mountain View company just announced on Monday that it'll add more options to the old right-click function in Gmail. Now, users can do more than just archive, mark as unread, and delete an email using the right-click menu.

The New Right-Click Menu

Google announced the much-awaited overhaul in a post published in G Suite Updates. According to the company, the expanded right-click options will now include functions such as sorting out mails via the move and label tool, opening mails in multiple windows, snoozing conversations, and email searching for when a user needs to find emails with similar sender or subject.

The update will also bring the reply and forward options to Gmail's right-click menu.

Basically, almost all the handy features will be just one click away.

The initial roll out starts on Feb. 11 for G Suite users on Rapid Release domains. All other users should see the upgraded right-click options starting Feb. 22. However, note that it might still take a little longer for others, one to three days after the scheduled rollout to be specific.

Material Theme Also Coming To Gmail For Mobile

In late January, Google also announced that its Material Theme will soon roll out to iOS and Android users "in the coming weeks." This is after the company launched the same Material Theme in other G Suite products such as the Gmail for web, Google Photos, Calendar, and Docs.

"We've already updated the web experiences for Gmail, Drive, Calendar, and most recently Google Docs and Sites. In the coming weeks, you'll see the new mobile design in Gmail on Android and iOS, with more G Suite mobile apps to follow later this year," Gmail product manager Nikolus Ray said in a post.
