Samsung has a new promotion for those willing to trade in their old phones, provided they're still functional.

Samsung will give anyone a minimum of $200 for any old iPhone or Android phone, regardless of what condition they're in as long as they're working.

However, that $200 reward can only be used toward buying a new Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Plus, or Galaxy S10e. The Galaxy S10 is the main tier, featuring a nearly bezel-less AMOLED display, a triple-camera system, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip, plus other premium specs. The Galaxy S10 Plus is its larger sibling with near-identical specs. The Galaxy S10e, on the other hand, is the "iPhone XR" of the three that's received rave reviews.

Users may opt for a carrier, SIM, or unlocked version. Samsung is giving participants up to 15 days to send their old phone in after they receive the new flagship, which means they won't be left without a device to use.

Users may get more than $200 depending on what phone they send in, even better if it's in great condition. Those trading in an iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone X, or iPhone XS, for instance, will get $300. That means they can save nearly half on the new Galaxy S10e, the most affordable out of Samsung's latest lineup. Meanwhile, a standard Galaxy S10 would cost just $600 with a $300 discount.

The phone must be able to hold a charge, have a crack-free screen, and be free of any major hardware damage, Samsung says. Another important note is that the phone must be approved by the FCC otherwise it will be deemed ineligible.

Samsung recommends users to factory-reset their phones before sending them in. If the company determines that a handset does not meet its requirements, Samsung will only send a $25 discount toward any of the new Galaxy S10 phones.
