A new set of leaked renders are purported to be Google's next-generation Pixel, which will presumably be called the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL.

Unlike the case with the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL during the days leading up to their launch, there's not much info to go by. However, since the new phone is still a couple of months away from going official, it could turn out to be one of the worst-kept secrets in the mobile industry, just like its predecessors.

Pixel 4 Leak

These alleged renders of the Pixel 4 (pictured above) come from Pricebaba and OnLeaks, and they're based on "early prototyping schematics" or, in other words, CAD renders. They give a good look of the handset from almost every angle: the front, back, sides, and bottom. They don't show the top portion of the device, though.

Straight off the bat, what catches the eye here is the square rear camera housing that sports two sensors. This design is similar to what's been seen in the so-called renders of Apple's iPhone 11.

Other notable details are the USB-C port and two speaker holes at the bottom, as well as the grille of the earpiece that may be indicating a notch or something along those lines, rather than a teardrop or all-screen display.

In addition, there's no sign of a fingerprint reader anywhere. This suggests that it could have an under-display scanner. As for the rest, the power buttons and volume rocker are where they're expected, and to no one's surprise, there's no 3.5 mm headphone jack at all.

For the unaware, OnLeaks is a reliable source for early info regarding smartphones and the like, earning a good reputation and track record through the years. Despite that, it's recommended to take these renders with a grain of salt. After all, these are the first few CAD renders of the Pixel 4, and they're likely not the final design of the upcoming handset.

Previous Rumor

A past leak claims that the Pixel 4 will boast a buttonless design and a hole-punch cutout for its front camera, as opposed to a notch. Those, of course, contradict what the alleged renders show. It did say that the phone will have an in-display fingerprint reader and a dual-camera setup, though, both of which align with the renders.

Regarding specs, it's said to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, 6 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of built-in storage. It'll likely run on Android 10 Q out of the box as well.
