Disney is set to aggressively take on Netflix with the announcement of a bundle that many viewers will surely consider too good to pass up. The company will offer a package of its three streaming services — Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ — for $13 a monthly. The package becomes available on Nov. 12.

This should perhaps come as no surprise. Disney had hinted at a bundle involving all three services, only now has CEO Bob Iger made it official, at the company's most recent investor's call.

Disney+ Streaming Bundle

At just $13 a month — $12.99, to be exact — this bundle is cheaper than or on par with other streaming options, including Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. It's also significantly much more inexpensive than HBO Max, which is rumored to cost $16 to $17 per month.

Will It Be Available Outside The US?

Some important unknowns remain, though. For example, Iger did not clarify whether the bundle would be available in international markets. If it's headed in this direction, there would be several problems, chiefly the fact that Hulu in and of itself remains largely unavailable outside the United States. Disney, however, said it intends to bring Hulu to international markets. The same concern applies to ESPN+, which remains inaccessible to most countries due to issues on regional licensing. Iger told investors that the company doesn't have "anything to announce right now in terms of markets."

All eyes are on Disney+, though, about which Iger spoke quite a bit during the conference, considering the service as "the most important product the company has launched in my tenure."

"The positive response to our direct-to-consumer strategy has been gratifying, and the integration of the businesses we acquired from 21st Century Fox only increases our confidence in our ability to leverage decades of iconic storytelling and the powerful creative engines across the entire company to deliver an extraordinary value proposition to consumers," said Iger.

Disney+

Disney+'s arrival is imminent. Iger said it will likely be available through Amazon, Apple, and "other distributors." But to be clear, Disney has not finalized deals with any of such aforementioned companies. Iger told investors, however, those platforms are all interested in distributing the product.
