As it wraps up its Apple Watch Series 5 teardown, iFixit is now releasing some Apple Watch teardown wallpapers.

These come in internal and X-ray versions, and they're available even for older models, namely the Apple Watch Series 3 and Series 4.

Apple Watch Teardown Wallpapers

On its website, iFixit posted a total of six wallpapers that consist of one internal and one X-ray wallpaper for the Apple Watch Series 5, Series 4, and Series 3.

According to the teardown outfit, these background images were made for larger models of the smartwatches — in other words, the 42 mm and 44 mm variants. It does say that these will "show up just fine and look realistic enough" on the smaller models as well — i.e., the 38 mm and 40 mm variants — even though the internals are a "tad different."

Apple Watch Series 5 Teardown

iFixit tore down the 44 mm Apple Watch Series 5 just recently, and it found out that there aren't that many differences between it and the Series 4. This has also been unearthed by a developer using Xcode, revealing that the Series 5's CPU and GPU are from the same generation as its predecessor's.

Afterward, it gave the 40 mm model the same teardown treatment and discovered a new battery design, where the battery has a metal casing instead of a black outer foil pouch that's typical for lithium-ion batteries. In short, this is believed to make more room inside the small device, allowing it to have a slightly larger battery capacity.

iPhone 11 Teardown Wallpapers

Normally, iFixit releases teardown wallpapers only for smartphones and tablets. That makes these background images for the Apple Watch a first for the company.

At that, it's also worth mentioning that it posted similar wallpapers for the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max as well.
