Fans of the iconic Motorola RAZR might soon get a glimpse of its "reinvented" version. The invite for Motorola’s November event hints at a highly-anticipated unveiling.

Motorola November Event

Recent events from major tech companies showcased new smartphones and gadgets to get excited about, but the nostalgia that comes along with Motorola’s November event brings along a different kind of excitement. Yes, it looks like the moment has finally come for the unveiling of the new Motorola RAZR.

According to CNET, Motorola is already sending out invites for its Nov. 13 event in Los Angeles, which will feature a “highly anticipated unveiling of a reinvented icon,” and it comes with a gif of a device with the RAZR’s silhouette appearing to be unwrapped to reveal a new one.

“An original unlike any other,” the teaser gif says, along with the date of the event which will apparently feature musical performances, special guests, and “immersive experiences.”

Motorola RAZR Rumors

There are so far little details regarding the new RAZR, but rumors reveal that it will have screens that can fold vertically to fit inside users’ pockets, unlike other foldable smartphones with screens that open into tablets. It is rumored to come in black, white, and gold, run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, and have a 2,730 mAh battery.

Naturally, these are just rumors, and people will have to wait for a few more weeks before really finding out what the new RAZR has in store for its fans.

Iconic Cellphone

As it happens, it was only last July when the RAZR celebrated the 15th year since it was first introduced. Even if there were many flip phones in the market at the time, it was the RAZR that really made a mark on users and became somewhat of an icon of the mid-’00s. Motorola sold about 130 million RAZR units in just five years.

The fad died, however, as smartphones began taking over the mobile phone industry. But with the smartphone battle nowadays being focused on foldable phones once again, we will soon see where the iconic RAZR will fit in the new market.
