Rumors are flying around about iPhone 12. Is the iPhone X already getting a bit old? But how is this possible? The 2019 models haven't even been announced yet. So is there any truth to these releases of the 2020 models? Whatever the case, maybe we can be safe just to take these with a grain of salt.

Here is what we know about what features the 2020 iPhones can contain:

Triple Stacked logic board - They will be making some changes with the PCB logic board. What is a PCB Logic board? It's pretty much the "motherboard." The only difference is that the logic board is considered to be Macintosh. But pretty much the same components plug into it like graphics cards, hard drives, CPU, RAM, etc.

Right now, the iPhone 11 pro series is using the dual-stack. Imagine what processing power another stack might bring? Even with that dual-stack, you can imagine how much technology they managed to squeeze in into a very small amount of space. It seems like they are pushing these limits even further.

Qualcomm X55 5g Modem

This is really exciting, considering that this is the second generation 5g chip produced by Qualcomm. As we all know, Qualcomm is better than anything; any other manufacturer can produce, including Intel. This flexes a download speed of seven gigabits, and an upload speed of three gigabits it's rather mind-blowing.

OLED displays

It is rumored that all 2020 iPhone releases will come with an OLED display, but the 4.7-inch model will have an LCD display. The 4.7-inch version might be available earlier this year, but the other models will be released by fall. For those of you who are not familiar, OLED stands for Organic Light-emitting Diode. OLED is considered to be the pinnacle of picture quality in technology.

Long story short OLED uses carbon-based elements and compounds to produce color, and it makes your regular LCD screen look like it's from the 1950s in contrast in terms of picture quality. But it's not perfect as it doesn't emit as much light as its LED counterparts, which means that your screen will be hard to see when you are on the outdoors in broad day sunlight. And there is also the issue of price. The OLED technology is rather expensive, and if you are planning to get an OLED display device to expect to shell out almost double the price. So for more casual users out there, you should probably opt for the LCD version or just buy the 4.7-inch release of the 2020 iPhone, which will be a lot cheaper than the other 2020 iPhone models. There is a more in-depth article about OLED for more information on OLEDs.

3D sensing camera and 120 HZ pro-motion display

Sources confirm that Apple is working on integrating a 3d sensing camera to be added on the 2020 iPhone series. This will be placed on the rear of the iPhone 12 to be used on AR applications 3d scanning models. Some publications also hint the iPhone 12's 120 HZ pro-motion display. This will make a huge difference in the speed of opening apps and general interface navigation. The only downside of this is the possible huge battery-life drain.

iPhone 12 is really an exciting prospect this 2020. They are really changing the name of the game with these great features and innovations. It's certainly something to look forward to. Stay tuned for more technology updates.
