Nintendo declared that the deadly coronavirus outbreak in China had impacted the Animal Crossing version of the hybrid game console. Japanese preorders had been pushed back from Saturday, Feb. 8 to an undetermined date.
The Animal Crossing: New Horizons-themed Switch is expected to be on sale on Mar. 13, a week before the game release.
Nintendo, in an update posted on its official Japanese website, published a notice of suspension for preorders of the console in the region. Shipments of the new system will be pushed back with production taking place in China - where the coronavirus has caused the most devastation.
Other Nintendo console production 'affected,' too
Nintendo said Thursday that it is sold 52 million Switches since the console's release in 2017, which is more units bought than the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. However, the Japanese business enterprise said that it expects delays for production of the Switch generally, in addition to for the Joy-Con and the Ring-Fit Adventure recreation. Coronavirus has impacted Nintendo's supply chain, affecting Switch production, sales, and shipment for Japan.
Nintendo CEO Shuntaro Furukawa stated in a news briefing Thursday that Switch manufacturing in China is "seeing a few impacts from the coronavirus," according to Reuters.
Nintendo failed to comment on a request for comment on how a good deal of an impact the virus may have on manufacturing.
Nintendo started out moving a part of its production to Vietnam from China in 2019 as supply chains have been hit with the aid of the Sino-U.S. trade war. However, it does not have sufficient capacity inside the Southeast Asian country to offset the disruption from the outbreak.

Video game publisher Private Division is delaying its Nintendo Switch port of Obsidian Entertainment's The Outer Worlds, too, due to the coronavirus outbreak. The company announced the news via Twitter, adding that the virus is affecting the team working on the port. The company added it would like to give them enough time to finish development properly.

Coronavirus affects various tech companies
Along with the health risks, the coronavirus had a ripple impact on groups and global industries. A wide variety of tech companies, such as Apple and Google, have closed offices, limited commercial enterprise journey, and experienced deliver chain disruptions.
Foxconn, the Taiwanese tool manufacturer that makes Apple smartphones, has also reportedly stopped most of its production in China amid the coronavirus outbreak. The enterprise plans to start manufacturing up again next week but may not resume full production until past due this month.

As of Thursday, more than 28,000 cases of coronavirus were showed globally -- and 565 human beings have died. Most of those inflamed are in China. There are 45 cases in Japan and 12 in the United States, and no deaths have mentioned in those two countries. The pneumonia-like illness turned into first publicly said inside the Chinese town of Wuhan on December 31, 2019.
