Star Wars has already been in the spotlight ever since the beginning of the franchise. Funny enough, not many people believed in George Lucas' ability to bring this franchise to life and was even rejected by a few studios. Today, Star Wars is one of the biggest franchises out there with fans from three different generations coming together to enjoy Star Wars together. The Mandalorian is a series that revolves around the earlier years of Master Yoda, who later on plays a huge part in the series.

To better understand the Star Wars timeline, a certain order must be followed by jumping back and forth to the past and the future to understand better how things are built. George Lucas brilliantly wrote the films IV, V, and VI first before licensing his franchise for the Star Wars movie I, II, and III to be built.

Here is the proper way to watch Star Wars:

Start with the classics!

Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope

Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back

Star Wars Episode VI: The Return of the Jedi

These are the first few movies you have to watch, and they are better watched in a marathon than taking a few days off in between. Although these movies may seem like a tad bit out of date, it is important that you start with these episodes for you to digest the gravity of the situation within the galaxy!

Now it is time to fill in the blanks!

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

These three are the next group of movies you should watch, but there is a twist, in between Star Wars Episode II and Star Wars Episode III, there is a series called Star Wars: The Clone Wars which is a cartoon series that better explain the events in between Star Wars II and Star Wars III if you plan on really discovering more about the Star Wars Universe, it is absolutely necessary that you watch this.

The connection!

Star Wars Rebels (optional)

Solo: A Star Wars Story

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

The Star Wars Rebels is an optional choice just like Star Wars: The Clone Wars, but if you really want to connect the dots, this should definitely help.

The Newer Star Wars Movies!

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi

Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker

The new set of movies expands the Star Wars universe, and although there has been a lot of discussions about whether or not fans have become happy with this new set of movies, these movies are still considered part of Star Wars, and a true fan would still watch them.
