Spotify gave its iOS app a piece of a redesign, which the song streaming service giant says will average make it less challenging to use on the move. However, the users of the media services provider had been fuming after the app-driven out a "horrible" update this week.

Spotify slammed for 'bad' UI

Users on social media disagree, with many slating the update.

One angered person asked Spotify via Twitter to ax whoever is designing the media services provider's update. He added the new UI makes a song "too easy to unlike accidentally" when Spotify unnecessarily added the heart right next to the options button. "Poor design," he said.

Dozens of customers whined that the app was not clean on the eye, saying it's a horrible one.

Another Twitter netizen also asked why her Spotify look so "ugly."

 

"Bruh, this Spotify update is kinda cute for albums, but the playlists look so whack I hate it," another tweeter whined.

Others had been a bit more high-quality about the app's new seems.

"I like the Spotify replace, this looks nice," one Twitter person chirped.

The media services provider said on its blog site that iOS users would enjoy "bigger, bolder, better" Spotify mobile. Rolling out for both Free and Premium subscription members, Spotify says it's 'cleaned up the UI.

The adjustments to Spotify's iPhone app ditched word-based buttons in favor of picture-based ones - including a new inexperienced button that combines the play and shuffle play icon.

A redesigned Action row houses actions - such as 'like,' 'play,' and 'download' - grouped in the center part of the app. The motion bar also houses a brand new downloading feature to listen without WiFi for premium customers, which appears loads just like the one that the app has been using for podcasts. The new Action row has an adaptive design that responds to the size of each tool for less stressful one-passed use.

The play button has been made over so that it can now be used to select linear or random playback of titles with a single click. For a faster search, the CD cover has additionally been displayed with the identity in almost every playlist. An exception is the album display since only one cover is relevant.
