The latest scooter by GOTRAXTM is finally out on the market and scooter riders can't wait to get one!

RATING: 9.5/10

Any scooter lover would rate this particular model with a high score of 9.5 out of 10 because of reasons such as price, battery life, miles per charge, material quality, and resilience.

PRICE: $399.99 $299.99

The GOTRAXTM Xr Foldable Electric Scooter is the new go-to ride for the majority of commuters because of the value that they get from their $399.99. Pleasing customers, even more, GOTRAXTM is slashing $100 off of the original price, making the new promotional price an impressive $299.99. With a price like this, renting a scooter will be a thing of the past.

TRANSFORMING GXL V2

One way to get a better product is to take a topnotch one and equip it with a flurry of bells and whistles. From GXL V2, GOTRAXTM has made upgrades that overhauled it's predecessor into the new Xr Foldable Electric Scooter. The overhaul includes an upgraded motor and a waterproof rating of IP54. This means that water can splash from any angle, and the scooter will still be protected.

THE CLEAR WINNER

When it comes to the tires, 8.5" air-filled tires have won the hearts and wallets of many commuters. Let's face it, one of the reasons why commuters use scooters is because the gadget is effective at cost-cutting. It makes perfect sense to prefer something as free as compressed air over its more expensive rival, nitrogen.

LITHIUM-ION by LG

GOTRAXTM has been showcasing their ability to meet goals since 2017. In their quest to uncover the best materials, equipment, and methods since they started, they have made quite a list of discoveries. Take for example Xr, which is later upgraded to an Xr Ultra version. For the Xr Ultra Foldable Electric Scooter, GOTRAXTM went with lithium-ion batteries. However, these are not your ordinary lithium-ion batteries that tend to leak precious power, but LG brand ones, which means better quality with a longer lifespan. Using an LG brand lithium-ion battery also means that the new scooter would have more power when going uphill and better acceleration as well.

SMART DISPLAY

Charging time takes about three to four hours. This will give a commuter about 12 miles of travel. Remaining battery life and speed settings can be viewed via the smart display, giving the commuter cruise control.

WHERE THE 0.5 WENT:

I have given the freshly released Xr Foldable Electric Scooter from GOTRAXTM a rating of 9.5 out of 10. So, where did 0.5 of the rating go? Well, even if the scooter would only take 250 watts of power to operate, it could go up to a maximum of 430 watts. This means that if the scooter would have to perform at peak energy, it would have to use about 52% more power. Its upgraded version, the Xr Ultra needs 300 watts.

Also, even if the Xr is fairly water-resistant, it is still not recommended for battling a torrential downpour. With limits such as these, 0.5 was taken out of the perfect score. Still, a 9.5 rating is high, and for Xr's case, well-deserved.
