Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 released in 2018 supposedly had a campaign mode that was leaked through Reddit.
What's All The Commotion About
The footage was posted on Sunday, May 25, by a Reddit user named /u/ForeverDexus. Which features a clip that was allegedly an early mission during the campaign in which the player is given the job to "Find the Aquilus CEO." Which then proceeds to fight through a monastery as well as a seafood restaurant.
There are a lot of models that were left unfinished, but the core of the game is still very much alive. And it appears to be on the same environment of the Black Ops 4 multiplayer map called Seaside.
A report from a well-known gamer site Kotaku from 2018 highlighted that it was said that Black Ops 4 supposedly had a campaign mode before it was removed to focus mainly on the battle royale aspect. However, it was never made clear as to what story Black Ops 4 had going, but the video clearly showed it was in the early stages of development.
The video is about two minutes long and still looks as if it's the early stages of development, but given the HUD it showed, it definitely fits how Blackout's HUD looks and feels like. The setting of the mission also gives credit that it belongs to the world of Black Ops 4.

What Else Did The Video Leak Reveal?
At a certain point during the campaign mode, it was said that it was trying to incorporate an "ambitious two-versus-two multiplayer mechanic," but the development team ended up in going for a more "traditional single-player story" which was the tried and true formula of the company. Still, that was all shelved after they focused on the franchise's first Battle Royale mode named Blackout.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 didn't suffer too much without the campaign since Blackout was mostly a success for the developers and has been given ratings from gaming sites like IGN with a respectable score of 8.5/10 which suggests that it still had a lot more going on with the battle royale formula in which the developers chose to go with.
Treyarch co-studio boss Dan Bunting also told Eurogamer that there was "never a typical battle" scheduled for Black Ops 4, which may also clarify why the action seems far closer to the cooperative than the more on-the-rail campaigns shown in other Call of Duty games, such as the recent Modern Warfare.
Regardless of how Black Ops 4 now is, it still is an interesting video of what could have been if Treyarch chose to go along the route of flushing out the entire campaign.
