One of the most controversial Youtuber Jake Paul is now facing another huge backlash from the online world. This was after he was caught on cam being among crowds of looters in Arizona. He defended the viral video and said that he was not part of the looting incident. Paul said that he's just filming the crime for the people to see what they're experiencing amid George Floyd's death. However, fans don't buy it.

Youtuber Jake Paul accused of using Arizona looting for content

Jake Paul, a Youtube with over 20 million subscribers online, is now faced with another controversy.

Over the weekend, Paul's viral video amid looting in Arizona got trending on Twitter. The video was taken by Paul's videographer Andrew Blue and was posted on his Instagram story.

The Youtuber was seen on the video wearing a mask and wandering around the malls that were being looted by rioters. Paul was not seen as looting or breaking any windows during the incident.

However, he was criticized online after people accused Paul and his team of taking advantage of the looting crime to film a possible content for his Youtube page.

Washington Post also reported that users are even calling him "EPITOME OF WHITE MALE PRIVILEGE" who is "CREATING CHAOS JUST FOR CONTENT."

Paul defended the video and said that he's just filming it for people to know what's happening

After he was accused of being part of the looters in the video, Paul released a statement, defending himself and his content. He said he filmed the event to let people know the real events happening in the city due to George Floyd's death. He clarified, "neither I nor anyone in our group was engaged in any looting or vandalism."

Paul reiterated that he does not support any violence or crimes against the government.

"We filmed everything we saw in an effort to share our experience and bring more attention to the anger felt in every neighborhood we traveled through; we were strictly documenting, not engaging," Paul wrote in a statement posted to Twitter. "I do not condone violence, looting, or breaking the law; however, I understand the anger and frustration that led to the destruction we witnessed, and while it's not the answer, it's important that people see it and collectively figure out how to move forward in a healthy way."

Looters all over the U.S.

Since many media outlets reported the issue of George Floyd, a black man killed in a police arrest, there had been cases of looting incidents and injuries were documented all over the United States.

On Saturday night, May 30, looters stormed out on Lower Manhattan and New York City stores and steal thousands of worth of items such as Apple, Verizon, and even clothing stores.
