Several car manufacturers and brands such as Bugatti, Lexus, Aston Martin, Mercedes Benz, AMG, and more have tied up and partnered with designers of yacht and builders in previous years to create sophisticated vehicles that match the distinctive flair of each brand.

Forbes reported that Lamborghini is up to join these ranks.

Its chairman Stefano Domenicali revealed, "This yacht represents the significance of creating a valuable partnership, at its best: our co-operation allows the essence of both organizations' style and expertise to be transferred to different worlds, sharing in their diversity to interpret and add value to the final product in a new environment. If I had to imagine a Lamborghini on water, this would be my vision. I'm delighted to celebrate this successful collaboration."

He is referring to the newest partnership that Lamborghini has with Italian Sea Group, for a 4,000-horsepower powerboat.

High-performance

Forbes senior contributor Bill Springer stated the designers and decision-makers at these brands must be intrigued by the challenge of bringing all their land-based knowledge of speed, performance, and style to the water. And if the past is any indication, the symbiotic relationship between a low-slung sports car and a high-performance powerboat can be intoxicating. But it's not always easy!"

The two companies teamed up to create the powerboat. This 63-foot yacht appeared to be based on the Tecnomar Evo 55 range, but with differences derived from the design and innovation of Lamborghini, more than being a restyled make.

For beginners, they must understand this yacht utilizes carbon fiber for its hull, instead of the common GRP composite. Though the styling is proximate to the design ruling of the brand with its hydrodynamics, the nautical designers of Tecnomar are making this more efficient for use in the water as much as they can.

This 63 powerboat utilizes V12 power to adhere to the tradition of the Italian manufacturer. It features a pair of V12 engines, though these are marine-level diesel MAN V12-2000s, compared with the other Italy-based petrol units.

With the low weight of 24 tons, the 4,000-horsepower from these power units can take it up to 63 to 60 knots, or about 69 miles per hour. It is fast, definitely.

Importance of styling

Styling is very important when it comes to link-up. The Centro Stile from the Italian car brand has featured references from the company from 57 years it finds itself in the industry.

The cabin of the powerboat is also considered a crossover, according to car and boat enthusiasts. There are carbon fiber lashings found, with the "Carbon Skin" soft material in the seats. The helm is a steering wheel from Lamborghini with two starts and stops buttons from the cars.

The Italian sea group expects to deliver these boats right at the beginning of 2021, expecting that the COVID-19 pandemic will already subside. Prices are yet to be announced.
