There is new Android malware that targets more than 300 different apps, mainly focusing on dating apps and social media apps. Techradar reported that although this the most complex and dangerous Android malware, it still leads to serious risks since it targets an extensive hit list of apps.

The researchers of security firm ThreatFabric, discovered the new Android Malware, BlackRock. This new malware is specifically designed to trick Android users into providing their personal, as well as financial data. It was explained that although BlackRock only has limited attributes, it is still capable of allowing hackers and cyber attackers to steal SMS messages, perform overlay attacks, deflect Android antivirus software, and lock the victim in the home screen.

It also manipulates an Android feature that companies use to define a device policy controller (DPC) to have unlimited access privileges.
