The month of August is quickly coming next week. For gamers out there, this also means that there will be another set of free games from different gaming companies. For starters, Sony's PlayStation and Nintendo Switch have revealed that two of their famous games so far-- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Pokken Tournament DX will be free of charge starting at late January until August. Here's how to avail of the game.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare vs. Pokken Tournament DX

On Monday, July 27, PlayStation was the first one to announced that one of their famous remastered game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be played for free in the coming month.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered follows the dramatic events from the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The free game is scheduled to go live on Tuesday, July 28, up until the end of the month on Aug. 31. Unlike this popular war shooting video game, another PlayStation August free game will feature the 60-person online multiplayer party game called, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout.

Compared to COD, this multiplayer video game will go live on Aug. 4, until the end of the month of Aug. 31.

We don't know why Modern Warfare 2 remastered went live earlier than the other game. But, who says no to a free game, right?

How to avail the game

If you're interested in spending the month of August with your PlayStation, here's what you need to do to avail of the free COD game.

Gamers who aim to have free access to the Modern Warfare 2 remastered only need two things: a stable internet connection and an active PS Plus membership.

Go to this website and check all the free games tab to download the game instantly.

Pokken Tournament DX is also free!

Not only the legendary Call of Duty will be free over the month of August. Nintendo Switch also announced that all Online Subscribers can save and actually play 'Pokken Tournament DX' free of charge.

According to Nintendo, all players in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia are entitled to free trials. Here's a clarification, though. The trial will last from July 29 to Aug. 4. That means it's only free for a week. Also, Pokken Tournament DX is only free for those gamers that are paid subscribers to Nintendo Switch Online.

For those who don't know how the game works, its basically a fighting game, with much more detailed designs of Pokemon animations. If you're not into fighting Pokemon game styles, this game can be your top option as it is more focused on the storyline.
