The 'most ambitious retail project' of American company Apple Inc. is set to unleashed this coming Thursday, Sept. 10. All of us are pretty excited about this major building as this was also the very first Apple 'floating store,' that sits on Marina Bay Sands itself.

So far, this store is already the third store in Singapore, the other two set at Orchard Road and Jewel Changi Airport. Unlike those two however, this specific retail store sits above the famous Marina Bay and has a sphere-shaped building that makes it unique from any other Apple stores in the world.

"Apple Marina Bay Sands will be at the heart of creativity, a place we've made for you to capture your ideas and passions. It will be a space for you to explore, connect and create something new. We can't wait to see where your imagination takes you," Apple said on its Aug. 23 announcement.

Interestingly, a lot of other things are very remarkable in this building. Here are some of the info we got from Apple website.

All-Glass Dome Store

Of course, we know that the new Apple store would have a nice dome-shaped like feature. Surprisingly, this dome store is also an all-glass building.

The Marina Bay Sands store was made out of exactly 114 pieces of glass with only 10 narrow vertical mullions for structural connection.

Inspired by Rome's famous Pantheon

Apple's designer of the structure told the media that the design was originally inspired by Rome's famous landmark Pantheon.

The building has a 360-degree panoramic views of the city that shows a remarkable look of the skyline. Just like the Pantheon, it has an oculus located at the apex of the dome that provides a flooding ray of light that travels through the space.

Though it seemed like the dome idea could result to a smaller physical store for Apple, it is not. In fact, the Marina Bay Sands revealed the massive space inside the dome.

"They can explore curated Apple products and accessories, receive personal technical support from Geniuses, or simply take in the stunning view of Marina Bay," said on the announcement.

When can you visit?

As said, the opening of the Marina Bay Sands store will happen on Thursday, Sept. 10 starting at 10 AM SGT.

All visitors around the world are welcome to visit-- with moderation of course. They will be welcome with 148 Apple staffs that could speak at least 23 languages worldwide.

Now, that's exciting.
